The Patchogue Medford Robotics Club (Team 329) has coordinated annual food and coat drives over the years to help individuals and families in need in our community. This year our team is aware that more individuals and families in our community are in need of assistance. That’s why we were so psyched when we collected more at our food drives this year than ever before.
We held a Thanksgiving Food Drive in November 2008 at a local Waldbaums and a Holiday Food Drive in December 2008 at a local King Kullen. We also coordinated a “SOUPer Bowl of Caring” food drive during January and February of 2009. All of the food and cash we collected was donated to t
he Lutheran Church of Our Savior Food Pantry in Patchogue. It was used to fill Holiday Food Baskets for the needy and provide groceries to people who visited the food pantry each week. This winter we also conducted a winter coat and clothing drive. Members of Team 329, their families and our school community gave coats and clothing that we donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The members of Team 329 are proud that we were able to meet some of the growing needs in our community in such a big way and we had a real blast doing it together as a team.

Thank You Letter from our "Souper Bowl"

Team 329 - You guys are so very awesome!
The Souper Bowl of Caring donations were delivered to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior Food Pantry today. A big thank you to everyone who participated.
Our pantry has had four to five times as many visitors this Fall and Winter than in recent years. So many people in our community have found themselves in need of assistance this year. The support of Team 329 with the November, December and Souper Bowl food drives has helped to make it possible for us to keep up with the increased demand.
Thanks for helping us to feed our hungry neighbors! We could not have done it without your assistance.
- Mrs. Tosques
