Our Robotics Team decided that we wanted to expand our horizons and ‘Go Green’. We sat around a table in the library one day after school and discussed ways in which we can help our town and possibly even start a trend of environmental activities to save our Earth. Then it came to us, solar panels! Within four years they will have paid for themselves and for 46 years after that they will be saving money while helping to reduce pollution in the environment by bypassing the use of harmful fossil fuels. We plan on writing letters to our government officials hoping to get their support for our green-venture. In the mean time, we plan on doing local area clean-ups to beautify our town. Once we get the okay to carry out our plan, we will begin to raise money for a small system of solar panels, and add more over time. Hopefully we will be able to get surrounding districts to do the same!
